Bratislava offers Ukrainian communities and local parishes of different denominations. A Ukrainian community is not necessarily Orthodox, and an Eastern rite does not automatically mean Ukrainian-language worship. The places below have verified parish pages. All times are local Bratislava time.

Choosing a community

For the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community, start with St Rosalia’s chapel. For Orthodox liturgy, consider St Rastislav’s church. For Ukrainian evangelical worship, consider Nadiia or Nove Zhyttia. The central Greek Catholic cathedral and Victory are further options, with different service languages.

St Rosalia: Ukrainian Greek Catholic community

Kaplnka Svätej Rozálie is on Rozálska in Lamač, 841 03 Bratislava. The official UGCC map lists a Ukrainian community, regular services and telephone +421 901 720 081. This is a small chapel, separate from the cathedral in the city centre.

The published schedule lists Sunday confession at 09:00 and liturgy at 10:00; on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, confession and spiritual conversation at 17:00 and liturgy at 18:00; on Saturday, liturgy for the departed at 09:00 and children’s catechesis at 15:00. The schedule has no clear update date: confirm by phone before your first visit or a holiday service.

Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral: Eastern rite in the centre

Address: 29. augusta 7, 811 08 Bratislava, beside Ondrejský cemetery. This is the local Bratislava Staré Mesto Greek Catholic parish. For the checked week of 5–11 October 2026, Sunday liturgies are listed at 09:00 and 17:00 in Church Slavonic, and at 10:30 and 12:00 in Slovak. No Ukrainian liturgy is listed in that schedule.

For a specific date, use the calendar on the parish homepage, which lists the language and venue. Parish contact: +421 911 400 845, bratislava@grkatba.sk. Meetings with the priest are by arrangement.

St Rastislav’s church: Orthodox liturgy

The church is on Tomášikova in Ružinov. It is Bratislava’s Orthodox community, rather than a separate Ukrainian parish. Its October 2026 schedule lists Sunday liturgy at 10:00, Saturday liturgy at 09:30 and Saturday vigil at 17:00. Ask the parish about the language of a particular service; the checked schedule does not separately identify Ukrainian worship.

Holiday times may differ: for example, the published liturgy for the Protection of the Mother of God on 14 October 2026 is at 09:00. Parish office telephone: +421 2 6541 1569. The office at Pribišova 8 is not the church. The website also lists St Nicholas’s services separately; use the correct church’s schedule.

Nadiia: Ukrainian evangelical church

Nadiia invites visitors to Ukrainian Sunday worship at 13:00, Palisády 27A, Bratislava-Staré Mesto. Its website provides ministry information and online broadcasts. Contact: +421 919 285 654 (Viber, Telegram, WhatsApp), info@bratislava.church. Check the church’s announcements for holiday gatherings and children’s events.

Nove Zhyttia: the community’s current address

The official Bratislava campus page now lists Trnavská cesta 67, Bratislava, with Sunday worship at 10:00. The campus pastor is Artem Markoborodov. Do not use the old Partizánska 1248/2 address to plan your visit. The campus page includes directions; ask the church about the language and children’s programme for a particular holiday gathering.

Victory: current venue, service day and language

Victory’s official website now lists Sunday at 11:00, Victory Centrum, Kominárska 3C. The former Saturday meeting and Račianska 21 address are outdated. The main service is in Russian, with phone-based interpretation linked at the start. Confirm Ukrainian interpretation in advance. VictoryKids runs during the adult service. Contact: +421 949 20 08 06, victorychurch.sk@gmail.com.

Attending Christmas, Easter and other holiday services

A regular Sunday schedule is not a holiday announcement. Check the exact date, the community’s calendar, language, start time and venue. Confession, Easter basket blessings and other parts of a celebration may take place at different times from the main liturgy. Christmas 2026 and Easter 2027 times are not announced here without parish confirmation.

For a first visit, you can write: “Hello! We would like to attend worship on [date]. Could you confirm the time, address and language? May we bring a child?” Arrive a little early and ask separately about pushchairs, step-free access and children’s activities.

Baptism, marriage and pastoral conversations

Arrange sacraments, preparation and documents directly with a parish of your denomination. These communities do not all practise the same rites, so there is no universal document list or shared confession procedure. Do not assume a baptism or wedding can be held during an open holiday service.
