Sociálna poisťovňa has warned employers, self-employed people and other contributors to verify the beneficiary account before sending payments. Banking and accounting systems using Finančná správa data may now display a separate insurer account intended only for catering payments.
The account is IBAN SK13 8180 0000 0070 0016 4509. It belongs to Sociálna poisťovňa training and recreation facilities and entered tax registers after the institution became liable for VAT on catering services from 1 June 2026. It must not be used for social insurance contributions.
Contributions should be paid to the account of the contributor’s locally competent branch, using the payment identifiers supplied by that branch. If money is sent elsewhere, arrears may appear until the incorrect payment is identified.
The insurer says temporary arrears can result in the payer appearing on the public debtor list and being identified as a debtor in exchanges with other public authorities. Payers should therefore verify the purpose of any account automatically suggested by their banking software.
