At its regional meeting on 21 October, the Slovak government approved more than €2.3 million in support for projects in Turiec, Orava and other northern areas. Of that amount, €1,585,100 is allocated to towns, municipalities and other recipients in the Martin, Turčianske Teplice and Dolný Kubín districts.
Specific decisions include €70,000 for two electromyography devices at Martin University Hospital, €71,000 to renovate 58 beds at the specialised hospital in Turčianske Teplice spa, and €100,000 for Martin to complete the Martin–Tomčany cycle and pedestrian path. Pribiš is to receive €65,000 for local roads, while Dubové is allocated €95,000 for reconstruction of its cultural centre and municipal office.
Other grants include €20,000 for an outdoor lift at the Horný Turiec social services centre, €40,000 for emergency repairs at a school branch in Raková and €20,000 for an exhibition at the Ethnographic Museum in Martin. The government says it backed projects from all applicant municipalities in the three districts except Horná Štubňa, which chose not to use a grant.
The Transport Ministry was tasked with preparing repairs to the I/65 between Horná Štubňa, Turček and Kremnické Bane, bridge reconstruction in Martin-Priekopa, a response to a landslide on the I/70 in Veličná, a noise barrier in Turčianske Teplice and a large roundabout near Košťany nad Turcom. These are assignments and preparatory measures, not completed construction projects.
Separately, the government said MH Invest would allocate €7.1 million from state financial assets to purchase administrative and warehouse property from the Neografia printing company for state use. The proceeds are intended to settle obligations and help revive operations; this planned property purchase is separate from the €2.3 million regional grant package.
