The government says Slovakia, through JAVYS, acquired 100% of JESS following an agreement. JESS prepares the new nuclear-generation project at Jaslovské Bohunice. Officials link the ownership change to faster project preparation; it does not mean the new power plant has already been built.

JESS was established in December 2009 to prepare the new nuclear project at Jaslovské Bohunice. Before the ownership change, JAVYS held 51% and ČEZ Invest Slovensko 49%. The government connects full JAVYS ownership with control of project documents and permits.

Officials also list earlier steps: a cooperation memorandum with the United States and strategic-investment status. Project coordination moved from the Economy Ministry to the Government Office, with Peter Líška identified as the expert representative responsible.

This is preparation of a new generation project. An equity transaction, permits and administrative coordination do not amount to completed construction or electricity production. Remarks on future exports and nuclear energy’s role are presented as the prime minister’s position.
