Finančná správa puts prevented excise-tax losses from illegal tobacco at €88 million
The authority says that from the start of 2024 through September 2026 its criminal office seized almost 172 million cigarettes and more than 364 tonnes of tobacco, handled 36 cases and uncovered 18 illegal production sites.
